Handouts for lectures
are included in the appropriate module guide. Please bring the module
guide to class since additional copies will not be available at the
lectures.
-
Microscopic Anatomy handouts
generally DO NOT include reproductions of the micrographs or diagrams
shown in lecture. This is quite different from other courses you will
be taking that do reproduce most of their visuals in their handouts.
The reason for this difference is that those courses usually do not
use a required textbook and hence they must provide all necessary
information in the handout itself. Microscopic Anatomy does have a
required text and atlas, and you will find the necessary graphics
there.
-
Full handouts ARE NOT provided
for the four Pathology Correlates lectures, which are presented by
a guest lecturer, Dr. Cheryl Hanau, from the Department of Pathology.
Listening to a lecture and learning how to take your own notes is
an essential skill that you will need throughout your career as a
physician.
-
The handouts and the lectures
DO NOT contain all that you need to know about the lecture topic.
The required text and atlas contain additional information. You are
expected to read and learn this material, and it will be included
on exams.
- You will receive a lab manual separate from the module guides, which describes in detail
the material to be covered in each lab session. Please preview this
material before lab.
