Craig H. Neilsen Foundation – The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation was established in 2003 with a primary emphasis on helping those living with a spinal cord injury.
United Spinal Association – United Spinal Association (formerly EPVA) was founded by veterans with spinal cord injuries, to enable members, as well as others with disabilities, to lead full and productive lives.
Spinal Cord Injury Project – The site of the Spinal Cord Injury Project of the W. M. Keck Center for Collaborative Neuroscience at Rutgers University. It includes articles on current research and public-accessible forums about research, care, and day-to-day problems associated with spinal cord injury.
Mark Tuszynski Lab – The Tuszynski Lab home page at the University of California. Current research includes spinal cord regeneration and Alzheimer's disease.
ICORD – ICORD: International Collaboration on Repair Discoveries is a multi-departmental group at the University of British Columbia; there they are performing both clinical and scientific research on neurotrauma issues – both spinal and brain damage issues.
Miami Project – The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis has assembled a broad spectrum of researchers, clinicians, and therapists whose expertise all relate directly to the problem of spinal cord injury and whose full-time focus is spinal cord injury research. By uniting this broad range of knowledge and talents, the Miami Project team of scientists is accelerating the search for effective treatments for spinal cord injury.

The National Spinal Cord Injury Association – Founded in 1948, the National Spinal Cord Injury Association is the nation's oldest and largest civilian organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for hundreds of thousands of Americans living with the results of spinal cord injury and disease (SCI/D) and their families. This number grows by thirty newly-injured people each day.
The Spinal Cord Injury Information Network – Located at the University of Alabama, the SCIIN is a major resource for spinal cord injury statistics and other information.
Paralyzed Veterans of America – The Paralyzed Veterans of America, a congressionally chartered veterans service organization founded in 1946, has developed a unique expertise on a wide variety of issues involving the special needs of our members – veterans of the armed forces who have experienced spinal cord injury or dysfunction.
Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation – The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation (CRPF) is committed to funding research that develops treatments and cures for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and other central nervous system disorders. The Foundation also vigorously works to improve the quality of life for people living with disabilities through its grants program, paralysis resource center and advocacy efforts.
